Rachel Taulelei
Innovation – whose job is it?
Rachel (Ngāti Raukawa ki te Tonga, Ngāti Rārua, Ngati Koata) is a prominent businessleader and a strong advocate for the Māori economy and sustainability in the food andbeverage sector and currently Chairs MoanaNew Zealand.
Her commitment tokaitiakitanga has been evident throughout her career, from founder of sustainable seafoodcompany Yellow Brick Road, to her time as chief executive officer of Māori-owned food andbeverage company Kono, and now in her currentrole as co-founder of business design andbrand strategy firm Oho.
In addition to Moana, Rachel also presently chairs the Wellington Regional Stadium Trust(better known as Sky Stadium). She is a director for The Warehouse Group, Sealord, andANZCO Foods,and acts as an adviser to venture capital firm Movac. She is also a memberof the Asia–Pacific Economic Cooperation Business Advisory Council and Chaired during 2021.
