Governance is an art and a science. Being Māori is our superpower and it brings a plethora of opportunities that is unique in the governance field. Hinerangi will share some insights around conflict, working with whānau and governing alongside risk.

Hinerangi (Ngāruahine, Ngāti Rangiwewehi (Te Arawa), Pakakohi, Tangāhoe, Taranaki, Te Atiawa) specialises in incorporating strategic kaupapa Māori thinking with other tools to help clients, communities and strategic partners make a difference to those they serve. She and her tane Kiwa Hammond founded AATEA Solutions in 2000, as a vehicle to live in Taranaki (where she was born and raised) and Te Wairoa. She is mum to five tamariki.

Hinerangi is particularly known for her codesign facilitation skills and helping people face complex and challenging situations.

Hinerangi currently chairs Te Aho o Te Kura Pounamu (Te Kura), Aotearoa’s largest state school. She serves on the board of Poutama Trust, Creative NZ and co-chairs her Taranaki based whānau trust. Hinerangi is also director of tech start-up Ō Technologies. She has previously served on education, reo, ahuwhenua and economic development boards including Ringa Hora and Muka Tangata Workforce Development Councils, Parininihi Ki Waitotara and Te Taura Whiri i te reo Māori.
